Membership
Aboriginal people 18+ from our local area are encouraged to join the Orange Local Aboriginal Land Council.
Eligibility for membership
You must be recognised as an Aboriginal person by the local Aboriginal community in order to become a member of Orange LALC.
You also have to live within the boundaries of Orange LALC, have an association with the local land and community, or own land within the area.
You can be a member of multiple LALCs, but can only be a voting member of one.
How to apply
Complete the online Membership form and submit it to Orange LALC. Alternatively, hard copies of membership forms are available from our office.
Your request for membership will be considered at a LALC meeting who will vote on whether to accept it.
Confirmation of Aboriginality
Orange LALC does not issue confirmations of Aboriginality. However, LALC membership is proof that you are an Aboriginal person.
